These 6 Bible verses are amazing. And if you take to heart what they proclaim, we’re pretty sure it just might change everything.
1. Ephesians 3:17-19
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
God loves you. A lot. He loves you so much that it’s impossible for you to fully understand the ridiculous fullness of his love.
The love a mother feels for her newborn child…
The vast expanses of the ocean…
Neither can compare to the love of our Creator for you.
Think about that. It changes everything.
2. Romans 3:23
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
God is not surprised by you fail.
No matter what you’ve done, no matter how badly you think you’ve messed things up, you’re not unique.
Your wrongdoing doesn’t make you stand out. You’re not some special sort of failure.
In fact, you’re in the exact same spot that all humans who have ever lived have found themselves.
You’re broken, deeply flawed, and in need of some kind of salvation.
3. Romans 5:6
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Before you ever felt overrun by guilt, or silenced by shame, or frustrated by failure.
Before any of your endeavors for change or attempts to be a better person came up short.
Before you recognized that you were deeply wounded and couldn’t stop wounding others, Jesus saw your need for help and chose to act.
He gave up his own life to free you from the penalty of your wrongdoing, and to offer you the chance to live a new, full, Spirit-filled life.
4. Ephesians 2:8-9
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
There is nothing you can do to make God love you more.
And there is nothing you could do to make God love you any less.
God has not chosen to accept you into His family because of your talent, resume, potential, or reputation.
Rather, He saved you because He wanted to.
The new life you’ve received is a gift.
5. Revelation 3:20
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
God is waiting.
He wants to have a personal relationship with you.
But He’s not rude. He will not twist your will, or force you to embrace Him.
He doesn’t force doors open. Instead, He knocks.
The choice to open the door is yours.
6. Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”
If you have faith in Jesus, you are free from guilt and judgement.
When God looks at you, He does not see your failure. He sees His Son’s goodness and glory.
You have been mysteriously and eternally united with Christ, so accusations against your character cannot stand.
And that’s good news.
Really good news.
